The ever-evolving global business environment is constantly defining new limits. External disturbances along with technological innovations like regenerative AI are key frontiers shaping the future paths for organizations and governments on a global and regional level. Moreover, organizations are being compelled to adjust their strategies in order to remain competitive by the influence of social, environmental and ethical orientation and entrepreneurial orientation. Therefore, it is necessary for organizations to adopt a comprehensive and accountable strategy to handle the needs of all parties involved in competition, especially with the rise of new technologies. This edition of Manthan features articles discussing current issues and difficulties that managers and policymakers are facing.

Anita Shou and Payal Rahega in their article unravel the relationship between risk perception, cognitive biases and venture creation among women entrepreneurs in the Indian context. It also examines whether risk perception mediates the relationship between cognitive biases and venture creation. The study found that overconfidence and the illusion of control have lowered risk perception, which results in venture creation. However, belief in the law of small numbers and over-optimism significantly affect venture creation.

Whether organizational culture mediates the relationship between employee job satisfaction and organizational performance is examined in the context of microfinance organizations in Bangladesh by Parul Akhter. The findings imply that employee job satisfaction is positively and significantly connected with organizational culture and performance. The study also reveals that organizational culture substantially impacts organizational performance. However, the indirect connection between employee job satisfaction and organizational performance is mediated by organizational culture. Centered around organizational culture, Ashish Thapa and Deepak Ojha examine the prevailing leadership style that can promote a healthy culture inside academic institutions in Nepal. The Leadership Style has a positive impact on organizational culture, especially, achievement-oriented leadership style is creating a positive and significant impact on organizational culture.

In an article, Justin Adack K. Saidi, Sanjay Kaushal, Rachna Bansal Jora and Austin Milward Nyoni investigate the impact of leaders’ inspirational motivation on public sector reforms in Malawi evaluating how principal secretaries’ leadership influences policy implementation within the Malawian public service. Results reveal a significant positive relationship between leaders’ inspirational motivation and the effectiveness of public sector reforms. The research by Bala Subramanian and Soumya focuses on assessing the dimensions of employees’ psychology on occupational stress and work performance of the employees working in the IT sector. The role of occupational stress affects the efficacy of employees and hence management should focus on the factors of work.

In e-commerce, the customers and the sellers are distant and can’t interact face to face regarding their likings and dislikings about the product, delivery quality, buying experience, etc. Toorban Mitra explains the same encompassing different factors connected with e-commerce logistic service quality. The finding shows the significant effects of logistics service quality factors like order accuracy and order discrepancy handling on customer satisfaction.

This issue also presents review papers. Nitin Sharma and Dinesh Sharma systematically review the literature on organizational agility and its defining characteristics. After a thorough analysis of academic literature six major characteristics of organizational agility are identified: IT Competence and Innovation, Supply Chain Adaptability, Role of Information Technology, Balanced Structures, Effective Leadership and HRM Practices and Crisis Adaptability. In another review paper, Deepak explores the relationship between employee’s psychological empowerment and job satisfaction documented in the literature. The findings offer light on the beneficial effects of psychempowerment on employee work satisfaction. Women are participating in the workforce (from rural and urban) these days and their buying behaviour is different than non-working women. Priya Sharma and Manmohan Chaudhry, in their review paper, conduct a systematic literature review of articles published during 2010 – 2023. The dominant factors identified include demographic variables, psychological variables (attitudes, beliefs, and perceptions), social variables and marketing variables shaping their buying behaviour.

Summing up, the collection of interesting articles, and review papers in this issue of Manthan offers profound understandings and fresh perspectives in the fields of management and commerce. I would like to express my gratitude to all of the authors, reviewers, co-editors and members of the editing staff for their assistance in getting this issue published on time.
